“The Overthinker” began as a sketch that reminded me of a feminine version of Rodin's famous sculpture "The Thinker". Gold leaf is layered into her hair and the aqua blue background. The saturated red in her dress makes a beautiful contrast and adds richness to the color palette. What do you think she might be pondering? Painted on a 3/4” deep canvas with the image wrapping around the edges.
