TIME FRAME: Custom acrylic portraits usually take 2 - 6 weeks to complete depending on the size/complexity of your order & my current schedule. Be sure to let me know if you need an item by a specific date and I will try my best to accommodate. I’ll be in touch after you order & will let you know when I anticipate beginning your portrait.
PROVIDING IMAGES: After I see your order, I’ll send you confirmation email, (within 48 hrs, usually sooner). I’ll ask you to reply with photo(s) and any other information you’d like to add. You can also text images to (404) 375-6683 if you have any questions to discuss before ordering. Feel free to include a photo of the the room it’s going in if you’d like me take decor into account.
*The most helpful reference photos will have:
-strong lighting
-clear view of the face/features
-natural pose that shows personality
CHOOSING SIZE: I recommend portraying just the face for smaller portraits, (12 x 12, 18 x 18). If you’re wanting to portray multiple people or include more of the body, I suggest going at least 24 x 24” or larger. (I find life sized or larger-than-life portraits to be the most successful, so that is generally what I’m aiming for with portrait sizing suggestions.)
COLORS & COMPOSITION: Unless requested otherwise, I will choose the background/accent colors based on your subject & what I think is most complementary. Please let me know when you place your order if you have any specific colors you’d like me to try to use or avoid. For larger portraits, I love combining photos & adding whimsical elements to create a story. So if you have fun ideas, just let me know & I’ll do my best to provide a creative solution.
